UV-Printed Glass for “Starfield” Columbarium at Fairy Park Setia Alam Heritage City

We are honored to be part of the beautifully conceptualized [Ning Xuan Pavilion] project at Fairy Park Setia Alam Heritage City, by supplying six pieces of UV-printed glass for its newest themed columbarium tower — “星域 Starfield.”

About "Starfield": A Futuristic Tribute

Located on the third floor of [Ning Xuan Pavilion], “Starfield” is a space capsule-inspired columbarium designed to be a peaceful, futuristic resting space for departed souls. The ambiance is deep, serene, and celestial — like a galactic station for remembrance, allowing love and memories to gently endure beyond time.

Project Highlight: UV-Printed Glass Ceiling Design

The ceiling of the “Starfield” theme room features ORE Malaysia’s UV-printing glass technology. The design showcases an intricate pattern of interlinked hexagons in fine blue lines, laid over a soft light blue background. When illuminated, the glass panels blend seamlessly with the integrated lighting system to create a gentle, diffused blue glow — evoking the sense of an expansive galaxy.

✔️ Design Motif: Hexagonal geometry for visual rhythm and symbolic structure
✔️ Visual Impact: Light-reactive surface to create depth and immersive spatial experience
✔️ Material: UV-printed tempered glass with fade-resistant ink

A Lesson Learned: The Importance of Proper Marking

While the visual outcome was stunning, this project taught us a critical lesson. We initially neglected to mark the sequence and numbering of the six printed glass pieces before delivery. This oversight led to considerable on-site confusion, where both construction workers and our videographer struggled to identify the correct placement of each panel — like solving a puzzle without a reference picture.

Because of the repetitive pattern (interlinked hexagons) and lack of obvious visual clues, rearranging the pieces became time-consuming and frustrating.

🧠 Takeaway: Even when the printed design seems distinguishable to the eye, always mark and number UV-printed glass panels to streamline installation and avoid unnecessary delays.

What This Project Represents for ORE

This installation represents more than just a supply of materials — it reflects our commitment to innovation, our growing presence in architectural glass for themed spaces, and our continuous effort to improve through hands-on experience.

We're proud to have contributed to a space that balances spiritual meaning with modern design.
